The trip to Faro

For the whole of last year, Corona has thwarted the travel fans among us. Summer vacations have been cancelled, road trips have been canceled and festivals have been cancelled. That's why nobody looks back on 2020 with much pleasure. Fortunately, there is light at the end of the tunnel! Europe is vaccinating like crazy and more and more countries are opening their borders to holidaymakers with reservations. So if you follow the entry regulations, you can enjoy the sun again.

Of course, the BeerBaller team didn't need to be told twice! Therefore, the two bosses Flo and Rico decided to make their team very happy. An unforgettable trip to Faro - endless team building and content creation in one of the most beautiful areas of Portugal.

The anticipation increased daily and soon there was only one topic in the office: PORTUGAL

After all to-dos had been done conscientiously, we could start.

Day 1: Let's go, let's go!

On 27.05/XNUMX all gathered at Frankfurt Airport. In the BeerBaller branding, we went to the check-in and then the beer lovers who love to travel all treated themselves to a well-deserved airport beer. As it should be after all.
With anticipation and holiday spirit in our luggage, we started. The plane took off around 18:00 p.m. and the BeerBallers flew almost 3 hours until they landed in Faro, Portugal. From there we took the shuttle to the villa booked by the bosses. Since everyone was tired from the journey, we only enjoyed a sip of wine together and declared the evening over.

Day 2: Beach, please!

The first day in Faro started with a group trip to the local supermarket. The employees were visibly overwhelmed with the troops, since shopping for 14 people is a bit larger. Equipped with the bare essentials (baguette, grilled food and beer), we hiked back to the house and sat down for a leisurely brunch.

While some relaxedly sipped their first beer, the others jumped into the pool. An absolute dream at a pleasant 26 degrees. However, the goal of the day was the beautiful sandy beach in Quarteira.
There, the whole team got sunburnt while enjoying the sea breeze. In the evening, BeerBaller head Flo enchanted the crowd with tapas and then the party mood quickly crept in.
The party went on until the wee hours of the morning, the last men standing made their way to bed around 7 a.m.

Day 3: Work hard so you can play harder

The new day started similar to the previous one, with breakfast together and then cooling off in the pool. The first half of the day was devoted to content creation. So all BeerBallers were divided into Team TikTok and Team Produktfilm and got to work directly. Of course you can see what came out of it on our Tiktok account admire!
With the videos in the can, the whole team treated themselves to a well-deserved cool down in the pool in the evening. Because at 28 degrees in the midday sun, it's easy to sweat. Some cool photos were taken that evening, but unfortunately we can't show them here 😉 The grandmas & grandpas of the group holed up around 3 a.m., the rest continued until the sun came up. Then the team got a short nap to gather strength for the next day.

Day 4: The BeerBaller Olympics

No team trip is perfect without a good portion of competition. After all, you also have to heat up a few intensive discussions, otherwise you can't reconcile over a cool beer in the evening.
Our event planners Arthur and Mary came up with some cool games. Funnily enough, there was a lot of beer involved in every game. Luckily for the entire crew. It was wild and one or the other minor injury could not be avoided. Still, everyone fought to the bitter end.

The teams competed in the disciplines

Slip'n'Slide (Teams slide down the wet water slide and try to empty the beer mugs as quickly as possible)

speed stacking (Teams need to set up certain characters correctly as quickly as possible and then bang the bell)

Shot pong (our BeerBaller hit, teams shoot in competition and try to hit the ball in one of the shot cups with the small catapult)

flunky ball (This game is probably familiar to most of you, if not...read it here gladly after)

It only gets more exciting at the real Olympic Games! The adrenaline rushed through the veins of the BeerBallers and everyone had only one goal in mind: to win!
Even if the slides worked out rather moderately well in the end, everyone had a lot of fun and the atmosphere was great.
Focused like never before in their lives, Jonny and Katja stacked against the founders Rico and Flo. Unfortunately with little success. It really isn't as easy as it looks.
Full physical effort by everyone involved. That says a lot about BeerBaller as a team. We always give 110% 😉
After most had recovered from the extreme BeerBaller Olympiad, everyone slipped into their party outfits and declared the evening celebrations open.

Day 5: Battle of the Giants - themed Beer Pong Tournament

The last full day of the team trip started calmly, as some group members were visibly exhausted from the last intense days. Therefore, they avoided daylight to mentally and physically prepare for the upcoming Beer Pong tournament. In advance, teams of two were drawn for the internal Beer Pong Tournament. To make it even cooler, each team came up with a motto and a costume to match. Everyone let their creativity run free and absolutely unique looks were created that will not be forgotten so quickly.

And the winners of the tournament:

TEAM GANGSTER BALLER WITH CARINA & ARTHUR

The tournament picked up speed and ended after hours of concentrated play with the lucky winning team.
The heroes of the evening were celebrated with an appropriate award ceremony and since many had to catch up on some sleep after the week had passed, the troupe broke up a little earlier than usual.
However, this was a fitting end to a wonderful trip with the whole BeerBaller team.

Day 6: Departure friends!

The next morning the house was cleaned up before the BeerBallers went to Faro airport. The crew was clearly exhausted. No wonder after the last 5 days!
Our two Bavarians had already left for the airport to catch a flight to Munich. However, they missed it because their test result arrived too late for entry to Germany. So the rest found the two girls relaxing at the airport with a beer in hand. Just in the BeerBaller style!

The plane took off around 18 p.m. and brought the exhausted team safely to Frankfurt. Everyone said goodbye in tears and then went their separate ways. Arthur to Luxembourg, Jonny to BaWü, Sophie and Carina took another flight to Munich and the rest headed towards Darmstadt.

The time has passed far too quickly, because the trip to Portugal was an absolute highlight and we will all have fond memories of it for a very long time. And what about you, do you also long for such a unique team atmosphere? Then look at ours
