Grab a Butterbeer, your friends and get ready for a magical Harry Potter drinking game adventure.

This is how the Harry Potter film drinking game works:

The drinking game is suitable for all Harry Potter films.

Before you begin the Harry Potter film, you must determine which event requires all or just one player to drink. With a larger group, it's especially fun if you split up into the individual houses and each house has to drink in certain scenes. A sip is always taken during the following actions.

Drinking Game #2: Quidditch Beer Pong

The popular sport of Quidditch from Harry Potter with a difference! Quidditch Beer Pong combines Beer Pong and Quidditch into one fun game. But before you can get started with Quidditch Beer Pong, you have to get a little creative.

Craft instructions:
Materials you need:

  • 3 glass bottles
  • 3 round wooden frames such as embroidery frames
  • 3 wooden sticks (one long and two shorter)
  • sand or rice (to weigh down the bottles)
  • Hot glue gun
  • gold spray paint (or any color of your choice)

Beer pong accessories:

  • Beer pong table
  • Red cups
  • table tennis balls

Building instructions:

  • Fill the glass bottles with sand or rice
  • Drill a small hole at one end of all three wooden sticks
  • fasten the wooden frames to the wooden sticks
  • place the wooden sticks in the bottles
  • attach the wooden sticks to the bottle opening with the hot glue gun
  • spray paint the Quidditch rings with gold spray paint

Bonus: spray the ping pong balls with the golden spray paint to make them look like the golden snitch

Quidditch Beer Pong Preparation:
First, the cups must be prepared. Fill the mugs with beer or a drink of your choice and place them on both edges of the table to form a pyramid. You can play with 6 or 10 cups. Place the Quidditch rings in the center of the table.

Quidditch Beer Pong Rules:
You need two teams playing against each other. Then you can start! The team that wins Rock Paper Scissors gets to start. On each pitch, the ball must first land through one of the three Quidditch rings and then into a cup. Each team always has two throws. If a cup is hit, the opposing team must drink the cup empty. The cup that was hit is then put away (not back, to the cups that are still full). If both balls are sunk in the cups, the team can throw again.

Bonus:
Quidditch Beer Pong offers plenty of room for more creative rules. You can also add stricter beer pong rules like the elbow rule. Quidditch Beer Pong can also be combined very well with other drinking games. For example, some rules from the drinking game Kings Cup are appropriate, such as the "Category" rule. When a mug is hit, the person who threw it determines the Harry Potter category, e.g. "Spells". Then both teams have to take turns saying a spell until someone can't think of one. If you can't think of anything else at first, you have to drink an additional cup.

Drinking Game #3: Harry Potter Quiz

Think you know everything about Harry Potter? Then this drinking game is for you! Here your knowledge about Harry Potter is required. The less you know, the more you have to drink. This drinking game becomes more and more difficult as the level rises, even for professionals.

Quiz preparation:
For this drinking game is some preparation required from each player. For the Harry Potter drinking game evening, each participant has to come up with a few questions before the game. You write the questions you have come up with on a sheet of paper, index cards or on your mobile phone.

Arrange beforehand whether you want to divide the questions into difficulty levels. It's more fun when there are easier and harder questions to answer.

The questions have to be about the Harry Potter films. Questions about character names, spells and events/scenes are very popular

Bonus:
For an even better gaming experience, each player can prepare a power point with the respective questions.

This is how it works:
Each player needs a drink! Sit together at a table or on a sofa. Now you determine the order in which you ask the questions. One person begins and reads their first question. All other players write down their answer.

When everyone has written their answer, the correct answer is read out. If you wrote down the wrong answer, you have to drink.

After drinking, it is the next player's turn to read out their question.

Have fun playing - Cheers 🍻
