Different funny versions

Bus Driving is a very popular drinking game that almost everyone has played at least once. However, there are different versions - we will explain them to you in this blog. Maybe you don't know a variant yet.

you need

  • Cards (for a small group: card set with 32 cards, from 5 people: 52 cards)
  • 2-8 players
  • alcoholic drinks

Version 1: Pyramid

This version is probably the best known.

Construction:
The cards are laid out face down in a pyramid shape in the middle of the table. We recommend laying five rows.

Game Rules:

  • A player gives to each participant and himself in total 3 cards. With the first card must red or black, higher or lower on the second card and must on the third card outside or inside of the two cards are typed. If you guess wrong, you have to take a sip.
  • Then the cards in the middle are gradually revealed. A sip is added at each level of the pyramid. For example, if a queen is turned up, anyone who has a queen in their three cards can place it on top of the queen and deal one, two, three (depending on pyramid level) sip/sips.
  • Whoever has the most cards after all the cards have been revealed must “drive the bus”
  • When driving a bus, one card is placed face up and 5 face down. The bus driver has to guess whether each card is higher or lower. If he makes a mistake, he has to take a sip and start over until he gets the whole row right.

Version 2: Heaven and Hell

This version has some differences from the pyramid version. Of course you can also combine both versions.

Game start:
The cards are shuffled well before the game begins. A player deals the cards incrementally by asking each other player, red or black. If the player guesses wrong, he must take a sip. Then he asks everyone in turn, higher or lower and then inside or outside. Of course, this player also does it for himself. At the end, everyone should have 3 cards face up in front of them.

Construction:
The cards are face down, laid out in two rows of 5 cards each. One row is heaven, so to speak, and the other is hell. In addition, another card is placed at the end.

Game Rules:

  • First determine which row is heaven and which is hell. in the Heaven shall drank myself and in the Hell will the sips distributed.
  • The cards are gradually revealed. If a card is turned up in the sky, eg a queen, the players who also have a queen must drink and they keep their card. If a card is turned up in Hell, for example a 10, then the players who have a 10 must give it to another player, who then has to drink the sips. The sips are increased by one sip after each level.
  • With the last card, 5 sips are distributed/drunk yourself. For example, if a king is revealed, the players holding a king must pass the card to another player. The former owner of the king and the new owner both have to drink 5 sips.
  • Whoever has the most cards after all cards have been revealed must “drive the bus”.
  • When driving the bus, 5 cards are placed face down. Now the bus driver has to type, almost like at the beginning. On the first card he has to tap on red or black, then higher or lower, inside or outside, have or not (whether the symbol of spades, hearts, diamonds or clubs is already there or not). If you guess incorrectly, the bus driver must start again and drink as many sips as cards were turned up.
